That's why I enabled manual updates for MSPR TA times and Speed Weekend now.
So, if you improved some of your times the last four months, or do that in the future, you can at least enter them now on my site.
Now, that Sony switched off the servers for my favorite game, automatic updates and realtime leaderboard queries on my site don't work anymore.

My ISP vodafone.de unexpectedly cut my internet and phone connection today.
It should be fixed in a few hours, but until then you will not be able to access my Motorstorm leaderboards, no matter which URL you use. Thought you should know. In case anyone noticed: my main database server went down ~5 hours ago.
I switched my motorstorm site to an alternate server with manual updates disabled during repair. The power supply was defect. I exchanged it, and while I was at it I upgraded the CPU to 4 cores. All should be running fine again - and perhaps a bit faster :-) Looks like I just can't let it rest!
I missed the history page for MSA TA, so I added it. The history page will show recently added times and, of course, respects the track and vehicle filters you give. Please note that there is a difference to MSPR history which showed only improved times. This one will also show new ones. The improvement over the previous time will show up as "n/a" for these. Is there demand for MSA Hardcore or MSMV TA? If so, just tell me. A nice way to access the history pages (also for MSPR TA and Speed Weekend) is now via the links on the stats page. See on the stats page on which tracks something has changed, then click on the link of a track you are interested in and it directly opens the recent history for that track. If you click on a vehicle for that track it also filters the vehicle. Here is an example history page for Welcome to the Neighborhood with Dirt Bike and Rally Car: http://joban123.net.tc/mainframe.php?frames=0&msa_all_diff=1&ms=a&tracks=1&vehicles=1,7 Enjoy. You probably know MSPRbeats, my first shot at a self made Android App?
Well, I ported it to MSA now, and this port is named ... surprise, surprise ... MSAbeats. The App keeps track of how often someone passed you with a better time after you have posted yours. E.g. lets assume you now post a time of 1:20 on Baked with an ATV, then your beat count for that combination is 0, because no one passed you yet. Now RacerX posts a 1:10 and previously had a 1:30, then he beats you. Your beat count increases by 1. If RacerX would have been better than your 1:20 before he got his 1:10 your beat count would not increase, since he didn't pass you. The MSAbeats widget displays the beats summed over all track/vehicle combinations. If you tap on the widget, the app displays a list of all combinations where you have been beaten. Go beat them back! I also noticed that since I updated Android on my phone, the MSPRbeats app didn't work anymore and fixed that. In case you had problems and are still interested you may want to download and retry it now. Both Apps are available from a link on the Home page (both version 1.4 as of this writing). You can now compare your MS:A TA times with those of another racer One on One.
Since it is a bit nonintuitive to find, for those of you, that have not used this feature back in the MSPR days, here is how it works:
Frames: http://joban123.net.tc/index.php?mode=msa_player_ta_compare&vip=Jerony&player=jagerade No Frames: http://joban123.net.tc/mainframe.php?frames=0&mode=msa_player_ta_compare&vip=Jerony&player=jagerade Hope you like it - keep your times coming! Ok, now that I have enabled the Leaderboards for the Hardcore Festival from my point of view we are feature complete - but I am open for suggestions :)
I have enabled the manual update for MS:MV!
I found Cirrus' AVTA thread and stole the times from there as a start (hope you dont mind!) Additionally I added the MS:A and MS:MV Olympics and Highscore pages to the No Frames views drop down menu. These pages were accessible when using frames for some time already but I simply forgot to add them for those of you that don't use frames. For the sake of completeness I added these too yesterday ;)
Since there is no internet accessible data source (I know of) the times must be entered manually by you. Just like it is for now with the Apocalypse Leaderboards. I have hope that I find someone who collected times I can import as a start. To not interfere with that I have deactivated the manual update and just filled the database with some fake times so you can play around with it a bit. I'll activate the update page as soon as the import is done (or in about a week if I don't find useful data). I implemented the merged account feature for MSA queries.
As you all know, many of us, including me, could not do TA with our primary accounts before the recent MSA update. So there are many second accounts on the MSA TA leaderboards. To get rid of them and attribute all times to the racer who has done them, I thought, I give this priority over the hardcore leaderboards. For those unfamiliar with that feature from the MSPR pages: If your accounts are merged, you see only the primary account name on the leaderboard, but the fastest times of all your accounts are used to calculate the sum and rank. ...and while I was at it, I also added the Olympics and the Highscore pages for MSA. These are so many new features, that obviously I couldn't test enough. But I'm quite confident its already useful. So I've thrown it out as is for you to check. So, if you enter your MSA TA times on my site, please enter the account you really used so we have the same times and names here and in the game. If your second account (or third, fourth, ...) is not merged yet on my site, just let me know and I'll arrange for it. |
