Thanks for inserting times - leaderboards are getting more and more useful :)
well, more or less. Of course we could also have history, olympics or highscore like for MS:PR. But first I will focus on hardcore races.

and Jagerade only needs to give us his Financial Ruin time to be the first to appear with a sum for all tracks!
Hi again,
I was fed up with waiting for a MS:A website with results and stats from Evolution Studios, so I started developing 5 days ago without it. What I have now is enough to show you a first glimpse on what my MS:A leaderboards will look like. The MS:PR veterans will feel at home immediately because I did not reinvent the wheel. The only available leaderboard so far is MSA All Summed and because I only have three times in the database yet, you have to select the right track and vehicle to see anything (choose A Bridge Too Far/Big Rig, Wargames/Big Rig or Jailhouse Rock/Dirt Bike). Since there is no official site with data yet, the only way your times will get into my leaderboards is if you enter them. So expect the update page soon. It is next on my list. Then you can see via the Stats link how many times we have entered so far. Of course, should there be a possibility to automate the time imports later on, then I will do that. Here is a direct link to get you started: http://joban123.110mb.com/mainframe.php?vip=&vehicles=1&tracks=34&mode=msa_all&ok=OK&msa=1&frames=0 Just finished upgrade of the TA database to DB2 version 9.7 FP4.
This should not have any impact visible to you, so if you notice unusual behavior of the TA site please let me know. Just wanted to let you know I am still here and evaluate the new possibilities with Motorstorm Apocalypse
Due to the often not working TA and Speed Weekend updates on the Motorstorm servers I have decided I want a quick overview which combinations currently work and which don't. So I created a stats page where you can see the most recent update time per track/vehicle combination. Also I display the number of updates during the last day, week, month, year and overall.
You can access the page conveniently from a new link "Stats" in the title area of any of my results pages. The overview is based on the data in my database. That means it has the usual ~ 1 day delay. Hope you like it and find it useful (or maybe better not so useful because the servers work all the time from now on :) ) Hello again,
I proudly present the first ever MotorStorm app for Android (are there apps for other games or this iThing?) Currently I consider it beta, and it still has some rough edges, but it works for me. Remember how the TA site looked at first? It will evolve. So, what does it do now? It monitors your TA results and tells you how many racers have beaten your times since you did yours, or in other words how many places you lost. The automatically updating widget displays the sum of lost places over all tracks and vehicles on the screen and if you tap on it, the app loads and shows a detailed list of all tracks and vehicles where you have been beaten, ordered by time. So it works a bit like the red helmets for the Speed Weekend. WARNING: If you use it you should consider that it loads the newest data each hour which may cost you money and battery life! Want to have it? Point your android browser here: MSPRbeats.apk You may need to allow your device to install from foreign locations before this works. On my HTC Desire HD that is done in Settings/Applications/Unknown Sources. After it is installed, you can start it, press the menu key and select the search option. There you can enter your PSN name. The widget can be placed on the screen of your device like any other widget and uses the last PSN name you entered via the search option. Now you never miss out if someone beats you and you can strike back immediately :) my ISP has changed now.
It was a smooth transition. Had the site online again in less than an hour. Up/Download speeds have doubled - hope you can notice :) I just changed my internet provider.
That means my TA/Speed Weekend site (not this site!) will be down for some time in the near future. According to the new providers promise this will happen somewhere in the next 6 weeks and it will be less than 1 day, but who knows? I thought you'd be interested... |
